Child care services
FARA is currently managing a range of childcare programmes for Romania’s damaged children in two regions – Bucharest, and Suceava District in North East Romania. The programmes described are developed to fulfill our objectives as follows:- To care for abandoned children in foster care and family style homes
- To provide education for children with special needs
- To assist families in extreme poverty and marginalized Roma children
- To offer training and social integration/rehabilitation to young adults and to those with learning disabilities

FARA currently has 250 children and young adults on the programmes. Children are referred to FARA by social services, some suffering from abuse and neglect; others have disabilities and require special needs. Young adults, some with learning disabilities, leave institutional care and are offered a life of dignity and opportunity.
FARA’s long term commitment to children in its care ensures that every young person leaving the programmes is supported to enable them to obtain life skills and training opportunities.
