FARA believes it is important to ensure maximum accessibility for users of its website. The site therefore conforms as far as possible to W3C (World Wide Web Consortium) standards. Specific ways in which we support accessibility are as follows.
The size of text can be modified using browser interfaces.
Content across the site has been written and formatted to make it as accessible as possible. Features used include:
- descriptive headings
- plain English
- clearly signposted links
- verbal alternatives to any colour-based coding or navigation.
Presentation and layout are based on cascading style sheets to ensure that content is clearly structured and fully compatible with assistive devices.
All images (unless part of the visual design) are tagged with descriptive text.
All pages include links to the home page and to a site map.
We hope that as a result of the measures we have taken no user will find the site difficult to access. However, any visitor to the site experiencing problems should mail FARA at
explaining their difficulty and providing details of any assistive technology they are using.
