Halloween's a great hit

At Halloween, children at the Samuel Centre made masks and bags and received gifts of sweets and jellies. They also created a giant spider and a pumpkin with a candle inside it – and were treated to a delicious drink of pumpkin juice.

Staff at St Theresa’s in Falticeni also provided lots of fun. They decorated rooms with black bats, hideous pumpkins and candles and dressed up in their favourite scary (or not so scary) costumes as vampires, witches, clowns and fairies. Tradition has it that some of these characters are enemies of one another, but the children were careful to ensure that no one came to any harm!
