St Gabriel's cools off down on the farm

The latest of St Gabriel’s summer events has been a visit to a sheep farm. In true FARA fashion, this involved a lot more than just looking at the animals.

The children were given riding lessons, had excursions on a cart and were provided with a large inflatable pool where they could splash around to their hearts’ content – and phew! wasn't that welcome, with temperatures well above 30°C!

When all the activities were over, hosts Mr and Mrs Didel provided a wonderful feast of soup, grilled meat and cheese – followed by a bowl of home-made doughnuts. As they were leaving little Paul was heard to remark ‘Why are we going when we’ve only just arrived?’. Mr Didel assured him that he’d have the chance to return in the autumn – this time for a whole weekend.

FARA is grateful to the Romanian manufacturing company Menatwork for sponsoring this event.
