Bucharest reception celebrates FARA

Paul Brummell, British Ambassador to Romania, recently hosted a reception in Bucharest to mark FARA’s 25th Anniversary. Those present at the event included directors and representatives of large companies in Romania.

In his opening speech the Ambassador reminded guests that FARA is one the longest established of all the charities who came to Romania following media reports on the appalling conditions in state orphanages. With over 5000 children helped to a better life, FARA’s work, he noted, has become a benchmark of quality in social work.

Messages of support were read out from Royal Patron HRH The Prince of Wales and from Princess Marina Sturdza and FARA’s Founder and Chairman Jane Nicholson spoke movingly of her gratitude to all who have contributed to the success of FARA’s mission.
