Sweet wisdom for Emmanuel children

Everyone likes sweets – but not everyone knows how they are made or how to eat them sensibly. This was the message from nutritionist and dietician Daniela Balanuca when she visited the children at the Emmanuel Day Therapy Centre.

Now the children know that chocolate is at the top of the food pyramid – a high health risk if not eaten sensibly. They also know how to make their own home-made sweets: candies (from seeds and cocoa) and chocolate cream (from avocados, jam and cocoa).

“Yum! We love the taste!” was the children's verdict.
