FARA’s services include support activity for vulnerable children and adults with learning disabilities, youth at risk and community-based programmes tackling poverty through education for Romania’s poorest families. Hands-on practical care is provided, fulfilling lives, rebuilding futures, and spreading hope.
Opened in 1997, St Nicolas Home was FARA’s first residential care facility and official programme. Alongside its sister home, St Gabriels (1999 – 2019), St Nicolas marked the beginning of FARA as we know it today. It closed its doors at the end of 2024 after 27 years of activity.
This summer, the team from the Emmanuel Centre in Suceava successfully launched Camp CONNECT, a joyful summer camp designed for children with disabilities and their parents.
As a charity bridging two countries, it’s essential for our teams to see first-hand the impact of the funds they help raise. It reinforces the importance of our work in making a lasting difference for those we support in Romania.
