Families in poverty
Tackling Poverty Through Education is FARA’s flagship programme, assisting 300 children and their families in six nursery and primary schools in rural communities
Introducing Molly Bingham, our latest fabulous fundraiser, we think she's excellent!
Name: Molly
Age: 24
Lives: Edenbridge
Likes: Running, languages, 70s and 80s music, watching classic movies, travelling (especially to Romania!)
Dislikes: Long lockdowns and being separated from family and friends abroad!
Marathon Prep: I am mixing it up with a combination of easy and relaxed shorter runs, speed runs and long runs at the weekend where I try and break new boundaries with my mileage. I also have an amazing partner who is a great assistant coach and brings me drinks and snacks during my long runs!
Support: Please give whatever you can to support me and this amazing charity! I know it’s been a tough year for us all but for many of us, this is a snapshot in time which will hopefully soon be in the past.
However, for many others in the poorest areas of Romania, the restrictions, the shutting of schools and unemployment will be something that will be tougher to recover from. The social exclusion that we may have felt is something that for many children is a way of life. This is a country that is so close to my heart and is like a second home – please do what you can and give even the smallest amount to help build a stronger future for Romania’s next generation!
