A new patron for FARA
We are delighted to welcome world famous Romanian violinist Eugene Sarbu as a new FARA Patron
“It is with immense pleasure that I accepted the invitation to become a Patron of FARA Foundation.
Following the breath-taking events towards freedom and democracy in Romania, in 1989, I gave many benefit concerts around the world, to help my beloved country of birth. It is in this context that I had the opportunity to meet Jane Nicholson, the Founder of FARA Foundation. Together with my pianist sister, Carmina Sarbu, we held an emotional fundraising concert for FARA in the early 90’s, in the presence of HRH The Prince of Wales, at St. James’s Palace in London.
Ever since, I admire Jane and her tireless work and dedication to helping in such a meaningful way so many poor, vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people in Romania, literally transforming their lives. Her efforts and altruism are humbling. It is my honour to be a Patron of FARA Foundation and through music I hope to bring love and happiness to the children. I take this opportunity to wish everyone involved with this wonderful Foundation in Romania and the U. K. continued success in our noble mission to fulfil every child’s dream.”
