Combating 'summer learning loss'
For children in our Tackling Poverty Through Education programme it is crucial they are supported through the long summer holidays. It is well researched and understood that during extended school holidays there is a degree of ‘summer learning loss’, important maths and English skills can be forgotten.
Workshops and activities run by FARA staff throughout the summer help the children retain skills, learn new skills and also provide support for busy parents.
