Who we help
FARA is today one of the largest and most experienced care providers in Romania, giving support to vulnerable children and adults, youth at risk, those with learning disabilities, as well as families and their communities.
Founded 30 years ago the FARA Foundation has played a key role in transforming the lives of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and young people living in Romania, giving them a sense of family.
In this thirty-minute documentary you will see an outline of the situation as it was in Romania at the time, hear from Jane (our founder) about her motivations and what it was like in the beginning and then be walked through a showcase of our current projects. This film also captures the celebrations that FARA Romania held to mark this significant anniversary.
